AOAM is the experimental music project by Chris Benton. His second music project a part from his ventures in the band Fuckers From Hell.
AOAM operates on many different levels where he combines genres like dark electro, techno, noise and beat oriented dance music with the feel of inspiration from the 80's synth wave underground where you can find sound inspirations from bands like Cabaret Voltaire, John Foxx, Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle and other bands alike.
And like the inspirations from his predecessors he seeks the challenges in defining a new sound which consists of a many layered soundscape with the mixing styles and playing with structures in the composition uncommon to the genre at hand. A self-styled transformation with the eye for a the melody and the sense of recognition and repetition often found in most common modern music.
Kambolage #2 is the second single in the Kambolage series which starts of with a heavy loaded beat oriented grove executed by some intense drum programming. To then transform into a minimalistic drive playing with the layers of sound creating an auditory attention seeking experience while slowly evolving into a fierce and turbulent sound drenched in layered synths, distortion and harmonics.
